FAME JR. opens in less than two weeks! Performances will be held at the Highland High School Kennel. Seating in this space IS LIMITED and we are expecting some sold-out shows. It is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets online in advance to ensure you will be able to see the performance you wish (besides, tickets purchased online are cheaper than tickets purchased at the door). Something Strange Over at the Frankenstein Place
There’s something strange happening over at the Frankenstein Place. We’re not exactly sure what. It has something to do with a saxophone-playing delivery guy, a physically-handicapped secret government scientist, and cross-dressing aliens.

You can find out exactly what’s happening by attending one of only three performances of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW during THIS weekend: Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 20th at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person and the show is not recommended for those under the age of 18. The location of the Frankenstein Place is at the Alfresco Art Center, 2041 Delmar Avenue, Granite City, IL. Seating is limited and tickets are going fast, so to ensure you are able to get into the viewing area, it’s highly suggested that you purchase your tickets online ahead of time.
This is a live theatrical event and not the motion picture of a somewhat similar name (the movie was based upon the musical). Therefore, keep the water guns, toast, rice, etc. at home. However, small bags of props might be for sale and audience shout-outs are strongly encouraged. So, come on over, stop by, and join in the Time Warp. It’s just a jump to the left and a step to the right.
Rocky Horror Show Cast Announced
First of all, a BIG thank you to everyone who came out and auditioned. We had a tremendous turnout and appreciate everyone lending their talents for us to see and hear. As with any production, this is the toughest part of the job – casting…there are only 10 principle roles and it was very tough making some of these decisions. Thank you all for auditioning! Congratulations to the cast of Hard Road Theatre’s THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW!
The first rehearsal will be on Monday, August 19th at 7pm @ the Alfresco Art Center in Granite City (where auditions were held).
If you choose to decline a role, please contact the director, Evan Fifer, at evan@hardroad.org or via phone at 217-556-6399 ASAP. If we have not heard from you prior to Monday we will assume you have accepted your role.

Get ready for our Second Annual Trivia Night!
Welcome to our trivia contest practice session. Our opening category is Memorable Events. Ready? OK, here’s the first question, “What premier community theater group is hosting their second annual Trivia Night?” Correct! On Saturday, March 9th, Hard Road Theatre will host a Trivia Night at the EvUCC Fellowship Hall in Highland.
Second question, “What time will the fun begin?” Yes, correct again! The doors will open at 6:30 and the games will start precisely at 7:00.
Question 3, “Besides an evening of brainteasers, what else can the trivia-files expect?” Oooh, you were close on that one. Actually there will also be a 50/50 drawing, a rousing game of Heads or Tails and a silent auction with such treasures as Cardinal tickets, autographed Rams merchandise, movie and restaurant gift certificates, and more.
Final question, “How much will this cost?” Good guess! $100 per team (of up to 10 players) will get you in the game. Soda and water will be available for purchase and snacks are free. Of course this is the perfect opportunity to show off your culinary skills to please do bring your own edibles!
